NPT “Children’s Health Crisis” Documentary Series Lives Up to the Slogan “Television Worth Watching”

WNPT Nashville Public Television aired the latest installment of its documentary series “Children’s Health Crisis,” this one dealing with obesity. (After linking to the home page for the series, click on the “obesity” tab at the top of the page.) Among faculty interviewed for the series were Jonathan Gitlin, M.D., James C. Overall Professor of Pediatrics and chair of the department; Shari Barkin, M.D., professor of Pediatrics; and Greg Plemmons, M.D., assistant professor of Pediatrics. The series is sponsored by Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt; the Vanderbilt Department of Pediatrics; the Nashville Health Care Council; Baptist Healing Trust; the Metro Public Health Department; with additional support from the Orrin H. Ingram Fund.
