from Wayne Wood:

We now know that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of our coworkers at Vanderbilt have had significant losses in Nashville’s flood. One of my News and Communications colleagues described being at a family member’s house in Bellevue (the family member’s house was OK), and seeing shellshocked people walking about in a daze, devastated. As a community, Nashville is just now realizing what has hit us.

It’s difficult to avoid cliches, but please remember to reach to others, and to let others reach to you. We need, all of us, to take good care of each other.
